The perfect gift, our Peshtemal towels are hand-loomed by the worlds finest textile weavers in Southeast Turkey with the same Turkish cotton grown and used in this region for thousands of years. A little thicker and more luxurious than cheaper Turkish towels, yet still light weight and fast drying makes these superior quality towels perfect for a beach towel, bath sheet, picnic blanket, scarf, table cover, and much more. 

Because Turkish cotton is premium cotton that has extra long fibers, it is much more absorbent, quick drying, light weight, sand resistant, multifunctional, and long-lasting then an ordinary terry cloth towel. Fewer joins results in stronger and smoother cotton threads. Turkish cotton is the worlds only long fiber cotton and is grown in the small but productive Aegean Region. Turkish cotton becomes even softer, fluffier, and more absorbent with each successive washing. The colors do not fade or bleed over time. Machine wash in cool water with like colors (no harsh detergents, dryer sheets, or bleach) and tumble on low heat or hang to dry.

What Are Peshtemal Towels?

Peshtemal towels are not your average terry cloth. (Though they are just as absorptive.) Peshtemals are large, flat and velvety soft. Inspired by the bath towels used in legendary Turkish spas, these tightly woven creations are extremely strong and durable, and feature a stylish handcrafted fringe that makes them chic as well as practical.

Because peshtemal towels are flat-woven, they’re extremely light and take up very little space, making them the perfect travel companion. Peshtemals are the ideal take-along for your next vacation, you can roll them up and they pack beautifully.
